This week, we expanded global access to our SynthID Detector. Now, anyone can easily check if an image, video, or audio file was made with AI from Google or partners like OpenAI, NVIDIA, Kakao, and soon, Apple. Building on our work with SynthID — which has watermarked over 180 billion images and videos to date — this expansion helps you get clear context about the media you encounter online. The tool joins our built-in verification features across Search, Chrome, and the Gemini app, which now handle over 1 million daily requests.
